Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Arielle believes that mental wellness is just as important as physical wellness. She utilizes a holistic point of view; taking into account all parts of a person and what influences them to better help and understand them in the counseling setting. She believes every person is the expert on themselves and has the ability to reach their full potential. Arielle believes every person can change and be the best version of themselves authentically.
In the counseling setting, Arielle most commonly uses a combination of Solution Focused, Narrative, Gestalt, CBT, DBT, Reality, consciousness-raising, along with social and gender role analysis to evaluate the client’s psychological distress and methods of coping. Therapeutic approaches and techniques are tailored to each client. She has used her clinical experience to help adapt her therapeutic process to be the most helpful for the client by at first focusing on present stressors, identifying solutions, and achieving stability. This provides the client a space for growth and reflection on persistent past or current obstacles to wellness. Arielle utilizes some music, play, and art therapy interventions as well when applicable and helpful. Arielle believes children in therapy are in a stage of life where they are able and ready to change if given the resources. She frequently works with children, adolescents, and the adult population experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar 1 & 2, PTSD, relationship issues, self-esteem, grief, life transitions, self-exploration, body image, communication issues, adjustment issues, stress and various kinds of trauma.
Arielle graduated from the University of Central Florida where she obtained her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her Bachelors is in Psychology from the University of South Florida. Arielle has an ABA informed background, and 6 years experience working with children with special needs. She is play therapy informed and very passionate about helping kids achieve their full potential. Arielle has experience working with severe and persistent mental illness as well as immediate crisis care. Arielle considers herself a LGBTQIA+ friendly counselor and is always striving for increased cultural competence in her profession. Arielle is trauma sensitive and trauma informed in her counseling setting. She is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Advanced Training in Integrative Health Practices. She is currently a registered mental health counselor intern in the state of Florida. Arielle has passed her state licensure test to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and is working on finishing her postgraduate hours for licensure.
For leisure Arielle enjoys the beach, hiking and anything outside and in the sun. She also loves crafts of any kind from sewing to collaging, as well as playing music. Most of all Arielle enjoys spending time with the people she loves.
